Daily Shuttle Service
Tappen Hill is located on a beautiful sixty-acre property in Sonoma County. Being out in the country is wonderful for the dogs because it provides tons of fresh air, green grass, sunshine and shady trees as well as a tremendous amount of room to romp and play. Though we are located just 45 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge (without traffic), many of our clients use us frequently, and desire greater convenience. This is why we have established shuttle service to and from San Francisco and Marin County.
FAQ
Learning as much as possible about what we offer will help you to make the right decision about who to entrust with your dogs care. So, please read through this informative section. It will answer many questions, some of which you may not have thought to ask.
Holiday Minimums
If you are planning on traveling on or around a major holiday, please make your reservations as far in advance as practical (in other words, as soon as you know your travel dates). In order to accommodate as many clients as possible during these higher-demand periods, we have established minimum-night stay requirements.
Feeding
Many of our clients prefer to feed the same food that their dog is currently eating at home. Alternatively, we offer a high quality lamb and rice kibble. Either feeding option is available at no extra charge.
If you choose to bring your dog’s own food, please package enough for his/her stay in large, gallon-sized, Ziplock plastic bags with your dog’s name and amount per feeding on it. (Example: Rex, 1¼ cups twice a day) It is not necessary to package each meal individually.
Medications
We will gladly administer veterinarian-prescribed medications at no extra charge. Please make sure that your dog’s name, dose and veterinarian’s name are clearly marked on the label of the medication container. Additionally, on a separate sheet of paper, please provide a list of medications with instructions including dosage, how and when each medication is to be administered.
Making A Reservation
All reservations must be made over the phone or in person. All drop-offs, pick-ups, shuttle services and tours are accommodated by appointment only. Please call in advance to schedule. Our phone number is (707) 824-9100.
